BPD Raids Homeless Encampment

On the morning of Friday, November 4, 2016, Berkeley Police raid the homeless encampment protest on Adeline and Fairview. Four are arrested, including Nanci Armstrong-Temple and Barbara Brust. Footage taken by Berkeley Copwatch.

At the beginning of the footage, Barbara is being lifted up after being thrown to the ground by BPD officers, simply for using a bullhorn.

Here is further evidence that Berkeley Police are abusing disabled people and homeless people. The City Manager has authorized two more violent raids against these people and another raid is expected tonight. Most, if not all of these people have disabilities or are ill. How much more can they take?
