What was happening in the Southside area 30 years ago that would get people so upset that they would commit to patrolling the streets and documenting police conduct? Much of it had to do with efforts by UC Berkeley to evict residents of a radical co-op called Barrington Hall. Here is a flyer that was distributed just after security guards (off-duty San Francisco police officers) ran rampant.
